South Liverpool Personnel can enable your company to trial new, potential workers from Merseyside who are all dedicated, eager and willing to succeed in their chosen careers. The trial can last up to 12 months and will enable the trainee to compete effectively for a position within your company should you wish to fill the role permanently.
We at SLP employ and pay the individuals, we supervise their development and we work with you to meet your needs and theirs. This is a great opportunity to develop your workforce and ensure you have the people and skills to meet the demands that will come in 2008, the Capital of Culture year!

Will I have to employ them?
No, they are employed by SLP during the whole of the placement period. If you wish to employ them – we can support you.
Can I employ them at any time?
The objective of this programme is to enable the trainee to compete effectively for the type of position that their placement covers. For the duration of their placement SLP will manage the trainees and this will include management of timekeeping, holidays, sickness and all their health and safety aspects.
Do I interview the candidates?
From your requirements we will shortlist up to 5 individuals who are most suitable for you. You will then be involved in interviewing these candidates along with SLP.
What’s the catch?
There is no catch; this is a Merseyside initiative to help companies to expand their workforce using local people. All we ask you to do is pay a subsidised monthly rate to demonstrate your investment in the trainee.
