Garth Dallas
Chief Executive, Fortis Media
Garth was born in Jamaica and excelled in both sports and academic subjects in High School. He was scouted after High School by an American college football team for a scholarship but decided seek challenges elsewhere.
Garth moved to Hungary in 1987 to study Chemical Engineering where he completed an MSc. He visited relatives in the UK during vacations and it was on one of these vacations that he met a Liverpool lass and decided to move to Liverpool!
After moving to the UK he studied for a MBA to develop more options, as being a Jamaican with a Chemical Engineering degree from Eastern Europe was severely limiting his opportunities. Garth has now established his own company after working as a consultant and is now the chief executive of Fortis Media.
